How do I create a Department record

In older version departments was stated in configuration but Sage 2007 you wont find in configurations.

To create a Department record, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Company module then, from the Links pane, click Department.
  2. From the Department window, click New/Edit. In the Ref box, enter the reference.
  3. You can enter up to 8 alpha numerical characters.
  4. In the Name box, enter the name for the department, you can enter up to 60 characters.
  5. If required, enter text into the Notes box, this text is for information only, you cannot report or print the text in this box.
  6. To create the record, click Save.
